TUSA Thought Leadership Blog

At Tonka United, we believe how the game is designed, taught, and experienced matters just as much as the game itself. Our Thought Leadership Blog is a place to read, learn, and explore the ideas behind The Tonka Way, our methodology, philosophy, and approach to modern youth sports. Here, we’ll share perspective on emerging trends, real challenges clubs and families face, and practical solutions grounded in experience, from player development and season design to training methods and community impact. Consider this an open conversation, meant to inform, spark ideas, and help shape what’s next in soccer and beyond.

T-Mobile Fiber Home Internet Supports Tonka United Soccer Association This Spring 2026 Season Tonka United Soccer Association is proud to share that T-Mobile Fiber Home Internet is supporting our club during the Spring 2026 season. As part of T-Mobile Fiber’s ongoing commitment to youth sports and the communities they serve, they are also leading the T-Mobile Fiber Coach of the Year campaign — a national initiative designed to celebrate the coaches who make a lasting impact through leadership, encouragement, and a player-first approach. This program recognizes the dedicated individuals who inspire young athletes, lead by example, and help create positive experiences both on and off the field. Tonka United Soccer Association has nominated Director of Coach Jake Borash to represent our community in this national contest. Now, families, players, supporters, and community members have the opportunity to help Coach Jake stand out among nominees from leagues across the country. The selected Coach of the Year will receive a $2,000 prize, making this a meaningful opportunity to recognize the important role coaches play in youth development and community sports. We encourage our Tonka United community to show its support by casting a vote before the deadline.
