ADAM VAN'T HOF MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The family of Adam Van’t Hof, in partnership with the Tonka United Soccer Association Board of Directors, has authorized one to two annual $1,000 college scholarships to support educational expenses.
Established in memory of Adam Van’t Hof, a former Tonka United player and referee, this scholarship honors graduating high school seniors who have been part of the Tonka United community as current or former players, referees, or student coaches. The award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated commitment, excellence, leadership, and service through their involvement in the game and within the Tonka United soccer program.
Candidates may be self-nominated or nominated by a player, coach, referee, or other adult.
Nominations must be received by
May 31, 2026.
Scholarship recipients will be announced by
June 14, 2026.
A committee of no fewer than three individuals will review nominations and select the recipient(s). The committee will include one member of the Van’t Hof family and two representatives from Tonka United Soccer Association.

GUIDELINES & CRITERIA
Recipients should demonstrate many of the following qualities:
- One to two annual $1,000.00 college scholarships funded by the Adam Van’t Hof Memorial Fund and Tonka United Soccer Association.
- The scholarships will be awarded to players, referees, and/or student coaches who are completing their senior year of high school.
- Candidates may be self nominated, nominated a by player, coach, or other adult.
- Nominations must be received by May 31, 2025 and award determination will be completed by June 14, 2025.
- A committee comprised of no less than three will evaluate nominations and make scholarship selections. Committee will be comprised of a member of the Van’t Hof family and two representatives of Tonka United Soccer Association.
- Criteria for award:
- Hardworking and diligent. High attendance at practices and games.
- Excels off the field in academics, community service, etc.
- Accepts direction and advice. Appreciate coaches, teammates and officials.
- Unselfish attitude. Recognized as a team player.
- Achieves in their role beyond expectations.
- ‘Gives back’ to the game of soccer.
- Financial need..
Scholarship checks will be made jointly payable to the recipient and the college they plan to attend.
