PRE-COMPETITIVE SPRING/SUMMER

WHAT IS PRE-COMPETITIVE?

The Pre-Competitive Program is open to U6 (2020), U7 (2019), & U8 (2018) players only each year. This program offers a structured environment focused on developing foundational skills, game tactics & teamwork, and serves as the first impression families have of "Competitive Soccer."

The goal of the program is to provide families with a program that blends pieces of

Recreational Soccer:

• single location travel and competition
• seasonal commitment
• play with friends

and Competitive Soccer:

• some local-travel events
• paid full-time coaches
• player ID cards
• player evaluations

while providing an experience to prepare players to progress on the player pathway toward the Competitive Program Tryouts when age-eligible at U8.

2026 SPRING/SUMMER OVERVIEW

With guidance from our experienced full-time coaching staff, players will participate in weekly training sessions, three TCSL FIVES game weekends, and one to two Club v Club game days.

Whether your player is new to soccer or ready to take their game to the next level, this program ensures they’ll be prepared and confident heading into Tonka United’s U8 tryouts in July.

Players will be evaluated the first week of the season based on ability. Teams will be formed based on skill level. Each gender group will have a maximum of 40 players, forming four teams of up to 10 players each. There will not be any friend requests.
