2026 Season Recap

Tonka United Men exceeded expectations in their inaugural 2026 campaign, establishing themselves as a competitive force in the UPSL Midwest West Division 2. With a 7-2-1 record during regular-season play, the team secured a second-place league finish before making a run to the Division 2 Final, ultimately finishing as finalists.

The squad featured a strong mix of experience and emerging talent, including 18 current or former collegiate players, 10 Tonka United youth development players, and numerous youth athletes competing at the MLS NEXT and ECNL levels with other clubs throughout the Twin Cities. This combination of established and developing players created a competitive environment while providing valuable opportunities for younger athletes to gain experience at the adult level.

The team's performance earned promotion to UPSL Midwest West Division 1 for 2027, a significant achievement in its first year of competition. Beyond promotion, the program's early success provided the confidence and foundation to expand. In 2027, Tonka United will introduce UPSL Men 2, competing in the Midwest West Division 2, creating additional opportunities for player development and establishing a stronger, multi-tiered pathway within the men's program.
