    • Teams formed by friend requests, classmates, neighbors, geography
    • Lower level of commitment; 1-2x weekly contacts

    Competitive

    • Begins at U9 (Under-9)

  • How and when do players move between Recreation and Competitive?

    • Once players are age-eligble,  they have the option to join the Competitive program. Players not interetsed in Competitive can continue playing in Recreation all through high school.
    • Information will be provided directly to Recreation players as they approach the first year that Competitive is offered.
    • Players can move from Recreational to Competitive or Competitive to Recreational once they are age eligible; but players cannot move between programs once the soccer year begins (tryouts in late July through early next July)
  • What if my player joins Tonka United at U9, U11, U17, etc?

    • Players join Tonka United at all different ages and stages of thier youth careers.
    • If interetsed in Competitive program, then register for and attend tryouts (July/Aug) to be placed on a team for the upcoming year.
    • If interetsed in Recreation program, then register seasonally.
