WHAT IS THE BRIDGE PROGRAM?

Tonka United's Bridge Program is for U7 and U8 players interested in transitioning from Recreation to Competitive.


The Bridge Program offers seasonal soccer year-round through Fall, Winter & Spring/ Summer options. Players can register for seasons at their convenience.

BRIDGE PROGRAM FAQS

  • Player Fees

    Bridge Program - Spring/Summer Player Fees: $295


    Uniform jersey tops are included in Player Fees.

  • Uniforms

    Included in player fees: 

    • Royal Adidas jersey
    • Grey training (alternate) jersey

    Complete uniform kit required: Royal Adidas jersey, Grey training jersey, royal Adidas shorts, and royal socks.


    If new to Tonka United, you will need to purchase royal Adidas shorts and royal socks - available at our office.


    If previously a TU Recreation player, you are able to use the royal Adidas shorts and royal socks used in 2023.

  • Spring/Summer Format

    Each week, players will have one designated evening for training and one designated evening for matches.

    All trainings and matches are led by Tonka United Staff Coaches. 


    1 Training Day per week

    • Training groups of 6-8 players will be tiered by ability (groups will mostly remain the same week to week but can fluctuate as needed).
    • Sessions will be run by paid coaches, led by Tonka Technical Staff
    • Training emphasis will be about improving decision making related to our principles of play and taught through discovery games (constraints led approach)

    1 Match Day per week

    • Team rosters will vary each week and will be balanced by ability -- emphasizing how players applying learned principles in a variety of settings (different teammates / different opponents)
    • Matches will be facilitated by paid coaches, led by Tonka Technical Staff
    • 3-4 micro games per Match Day (4v4, 15-minute games)

    2 Club-Club Jamborees with Fusion Soccer Club (mid-season and end of season)
