Player Pathways


  • Recreation

    • Once players are age-eligble,  they have the option to join the Competitive program. Players not interested in Competitive can continue playing in Recreation all through high school. 
    • Information will be provided directly to Recreation players as they approach the first year that Competitive is offered. 
    • Players can move from Recreational to Competitive or Competitive to Recreational once they are age eligible; but players cannot move between programs once the soccer year begins (tryouts in late July through early next July)

    • Players join Tonka United at all different ages and stages in their player development. 
    • If interested in the Competitive Program, then register for and attend tryouts (July/Aug) to be placed on a team for the upcoming year. 
    • If interested in Recreation program, then register seasonally. 

  • Tonka Fusion Elite (TFE) is for players striving to develop at the national level.
