Little Juniors Fall Soccer Program

OVERVIEW

The Little Juniors Fall Soccer program is part of the foundational program of Tonka United. Young players ages 4 - 2nd grade play on soccer teams in an organized and fun-filled soccer league. Teams are coached by parent volunteer coaches. 

Registration for the Fall Soccer program will open in the summer.

SEASON SCHEDULE

The Little Juniors Fall Soccer season starts in the first week of September and concludes in the second week of October. Games are typically on Saturday mornings and early afternoons at Freeman Park, Shorewood.

The official scheduled will be released at the beginning of August.

COST

Registration is $90. Note that this does not include the cost of uniforms.

UNIFORMS

Uniforms are available through Nicklasson Athletic. The online store is currently closed, but will open again in early April and again in August. 

The complete uniform set costs $45. Note that pre-k and kindergarten players do not need to order uniforms for the fall soccer season. Also note that large and extra-large sizes are not available thought the online store. If you need one of these sizes please contact the Tonka United office, where we have the sizes available for purchase. 

All players will need to order entirely new uniforms for the 2020 fall soccer season. The Tonka United Little Juniors program typically uses a uniform set for three years. The last uniform set was first used for the 2017 season. Players will be required to wear the new uniform set starting fall 2020. 

The home team should always wear the blue uniform top, and the away team should always wear the red uniform top. The game schedule will indicate which team is home and which is away for each game. We recommend players alway bring both uniform tops to all games, just to be safe.

TEAM FORMATION

During the registration process, you are given the chance to designate one friend with whom your child would like to play. During team formation, we will honor only one mutual friend request. This means that the friend must request your child as well in order for that request to be honored. For example, Sarah requests to be placed on a team with Anne, and Anne requests to be placed on a team with Sarah.

Beyond the friend request, we will also try to place players on a team with at least some players from their school. However, registration numbers and the number of players from each school dictate final team formation.

REFUND POLICY

Tonka United has a limited refund policy. All refund requests must be submitted in writing. Refunds may be given under the following circumstances only:

- A player cannot be placed on a team within Tonka United due to the lack of a coach or insufficient numbers to fill a team (100% refund)
- Written request postmarked/dated before March 10th for Summer and August 15th for Fall (Registration Fee Minus $30).
- Prior to the scheduled date of game six (6) of the season, a player suffers an injury and is directed not to participate by a medical doctor. In order to request a refund under this provision, a medical doctor's letter must accompany the request verifying the injury and that said injury prevents the player from participating (50% refund).

Please note that refunds are not given for cancelled games or clinics.
