Overview

At Tonka United, our recreational program provides youth an opportunity to enjoy playing in an organized and fun-filled soccer league. The recreational program is available for players 3rd grade - 18 years old.

We rely on parents as volunteer coaches to help create a positive experience for each team. If interested in volunteering, please complete within the registration!

Fall

The fall recreational league starts in the beginning of September and concludes during the second week of October. This program is open to players in 3rd - 5th grade.

We play small-sided games to give players an opportunity to get more touches in the ball. All players should play about the same amount of time in each game and should have the opportunity to play in each position. This is a no score, no standings, no protest league. This rule applies to coaches, parents, players and spectators.

All teams are coached by parents volunteers - you can register as a volunteer while registering your child for the league.

Registration for the 2020 spring summer league will open in July 2020. Check our site soon!

- There is NO HEADING in any recreational games. If a player intentionally heads the ball, an indirect free kick will be awarded to the opposing team at the spot of the header.
- Kickoffs may go in any direction, but the player taking the kickoff is only allowed one touch. The player taking the kickoff may not dribble the ball.
